Volunteer Resource Centre, supported by the Horowhenua District Council, is organising their first Volunteering Expo at the end of February.
Organisers say this event aims to create connections by allowing people to meet organisations that have volunteer opportunities as well as the services they provide to the local community.
It is dedicated to inform, promote and engage; when people will find out new ways to contribute to a positive change in society.
“Potential volunteers can come and find out what services these organisations provide, what roles they have available and how they fit.
“Many organisations rely on volunteers to keep running, so it is the opportunity to make a difference.”
