Mondo Travel have launched ‘The Mondo Bucket List’ nationwide campaign playing this week on primetime TV, press and online for this once-in-a-life-time travel opportunity and industry first by New Zealand standards.
Dreams will come true for a lucky grand prize winner as they could end up doing the lot. They’ll be filmed and content streamed about their adventures so Kiwis can live the dream with them!
From climbing Macchu Pichu to footsteps of the Incas to travelling in luxury on the Orient Express, Mondo is giving away the ultimate Bucket List anywhere in the world!
Bucket lists are made on a dedicated website where entrants can select 5 options from up to forty three destinations, then at the click of a mouse, type up any activity they desire to do.
The competition runs over a 10 week period, starting with weekly prizes including trips to Australia and culminating with the grand prize winner being announced by a celebrity judging panel.
The first weekly prize winner has been announced. Read the wishlist by Emily Parker from Christchurch on the ‘Winners List’ page on the Mondo Bucket List Facebook site.
One of the unique aspects about the campaign is that Mondo Travel are actively using social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr and Four Square to listen and engage with the fans.
Radio personality, Kerrie Woodham says she’s going to love the chance to be a “fairy godmother”.
Fellow guest judge and Kiwi social media star of 22,000+ followers, Justin Flitter, says ” no other company in this industry at the moment comes close to Mondo in terms of embracing the value of social media.”
Mondo Marketing Manager, Gordon Bayne says: “Dream it. Live it. Win it.” came from wanting to pull together ‘an inspirational and aspirational’ wishlist.
“We want to tap into wild ideas that are often seen as impossible or perhaps been in the back of people’s minds all these years and make it happen for a lucky person,” he said.
The competition winner will be announced on 5th November 2010.
