Chris Laidlaw has had a huge career in a wide variety of fields and continues to flourish as a multi-talented multi-tasker.
Mr Laidlaw was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University and is regarded as having been one of New Zealand’s greatest ever All Blacks.
He served as New Zealand’s first resident High Commisioner to Harare and was later appointed as New Zealand’s Race Relations Concilliator.
Mr Laidlaw served as a member of Parliament for Wellington Central and has been an elected member of the Greater Wellington Regional Council, representing Wellington, since 2004 and currently chairs the Regional Sustainability Committee.
Further to this, Mr Laidlaw hosts the very popular National Radio show Sunday Morning with Chris Laidlaw.
Mr Laidlaw wrote a bestselling rugby biography titled ‘Mud in Your Eye’ in 1973 and has recently released another bestseller called ‘Somebody stole my game.’
