I am a fifth generation Kāpiti Coaster. In 1974, at age nine, I wrote to our first Mayor, Barry Hadfield, suggesting how he could do his job. I have never stopped.
For six years, trust has broken down between Council and residents. I want to be a part of the team working hard applying common sense solutions to rebuild that trust.
We have had an over reliance on consultants, and still water supply issues remain unsolved after forty years.
I want to be a part of the team that builds the dam to future proof our water supply. I remain opposed to water meter charges and the river recharge.
I will be proud to hold a referendum on fluoridation. It’s your water, it’s your choice.
Affordability is my biggest issue.
The new Council will treat the people of Kāpiti with respect. I look
forward to serving Kāpiti’s public.
