Deputy chair for past 3 years, I grew up in Waikanae, run a business here, raised my family here and I have been totally committed to Waikanae by serving on Community Board for 4 terms. Restructure of regional representation could end community boards; I support the status quo where Community Boards are concerned. The form the Town Centre takes, and SH1 when it becomes a local road, needs planning as does the control of effects of the new expressway. I am standing as Waikanae Ward Councillor and Waikanae Community Board;
I ask for your support to be elected to both so I can be a strong voice for Waikanae Reduced services, increasing rates and compliance costs are not affordable and not acceptable.Councillors have struggled to address water supply, they are about to embark on a $20million plus experiment at ratepayer’s expense.
