Kāpiti’s Burger King’s takeaways outlet on the Paraparaumu main street is up for sale.
The building went up in the 1990s and has a rating valuation of $2 million from August last year.
The building, located close to The Warehouse, the railway station and bus terminal, and between the Ihakara St commercial-industrial zone and Coastlands shopping centre, is likely to attract a number of offers.
Agent Carl Hastings of Paul Hastings & Co said the vendor was offering finance in the form of a first mortgage of up to 60 per cent of the purchase price, secured over the property on “attractive terms”.
It was being sold by private treaty closing July 22 unless sold earlier.
The sale follows a decision to put Burger King’s Auckland headquarters on the market, as the chain’s finances come under pressure.
Burger King New Zealand’s holding company, Tango Holdings NZ, announced a net loss of $7.5m in 2014, up from a loss of $4.4m a year earlier.
Prior to Burger King moving in the site was a showroom for RossCars Toyota.
