2017 Ngaio Marsh Crime Awards entrants Penelope Haines and Christopher Abbey are joined by David McGill to discuss where their writing inspiration comes from, how they create interesting characters, craft page-turning storylines, and infuse their tales with real-life issues.
Catherine Knight on her latest book
Sunday 16 July, 2.30pm in Paraparaumu Library meeting room. Catherine Knight will talk about her book New Zealand Rivers ; An Environmental History. This book explores the relationship between New Zealanders and our rivers, explaining how we have arrived at a crisis point, where fresh water has become our most contested resource and many rivers are too polluted to swim in.
