Porirua’s Toa Basketball Club delivered an outstanding performance at the Poitūkohu Māori Nationals 2025, showcasing skill and determination across all divisions.

The annual event, held in January, is one of the highlights of the New Zealand basketball calendar, celebrating Māori talent from tamariki to pakeke. Toa’s teams excelled in the Rangatahi division, claiming first place in the U10 Kowhai, U10 Kauri, U12 Kahikatea, and U14 Kauri grades. The U16K Kowhai team also performed strongly, finishing second.
