Time for a Yarn at Whitby Library

Community crafting group invites locals to connect over a cuppa and creativity.

Whitby Library is calling all crafters to take part in “Time for a Yarn,” a community gathering for anyone who loves working with yarn or thread. Whether you’re into knitting, crochet, embroidery, hand sewing, or tatting, this group is a chance to meet like-minded locals, share ideas, and enjoy a relaxing morning with a free cuppa.

The crafting sessions start on Thursday, 20 February 2025, from 10am to 11:30am, and will continue on the first and third Thursday of each month. If there’s a fifth Thursday in a month, the group will meet then too.

There’s no need to register – simply bring along your project and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of Whitby Library.

“It’s all about bringing the community together through a shared love of crafting,” says a library representative. “People can learn from each other, share tips and tricks, and have a bit of fun along the way.”
