Wellington Police have located a body in the search for a missing man in the Tunnel Gully, Hutt Valley area.
“We understand this is not the outcome hoped for, and we extend our sympathies to his family and friends who a being provided support during this difficult time” say Police.
Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted and provided information during the search for the man. They would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the volunteers and LandSAR who contributed the search.
The death is not believed to be suspicious and has been referred to the Coroner.
