Porirua’s culinary scene is heating up as local eateries gear up for the 2024 Burger Wellington competition, part of the larger Visa Wellington On a Plate festival. This year, 11 establishments from Porirua are competing, offering a tantalizing array of unique burgers for locals and visitors to enjoy.

The competition, which runs until 25 August, allows food lovers to sample these creations and vote for their favourites. The Porirua entry with the most votes will be crowned the local champion, while also vying for recognition against nearly 200 other burgers from across the Wellington region.
