After two sell-out shows at Wellington’s Meow, the Capital’s Zimmermans are bringing their show celebrating the songs of Bob Dylan to the Kāpiti Coast.
On November 21 the Zimmermans, who’ve had rave reviews for their Wellington gigs, will play their two-hour set at St Peter’s Hall, Paekākāriki.
The Zimmermans are made up of musicians who’ve played with a number of well-known outfits including Sneaky Feelings, Let’s Planet, the Mockers, the Wooden Box Band and the Dunstan Rangers. They feature two guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, trumpet, sax and backing vocals.
“We’ve deliberately chosen 23 songs from across the Dylan’s almost 60 year career”, says guitarist and singer Paddy Burgin. “But we’re still playing less than 5% of his catalogue!”
“They’re wonderful songs to play, and even better playing them to an enthusiastic crowd.”
Tickets $25 through Eventfinder. www.eventfinda.co.nz/2020/the-zimmermans/paekakariki.
Doors (and door sales) open at 6.30pm. The show kicks off at 7.30pm.
