Te Rā o Ngā Tamariki/Children’s Day in Porirua is back. On Sunday, 2 March, at Ngāti Toa Domain, from 11am–3pm, there is a fantastic day of fun planned for kids of all ages.
The theme for the day is all things heroic – this could be everyday heroes, superheroes or community heroes, in hope to inspire our heroes of tomorrow.

What’s happening
There will be a wide range of free activities to keep children of all ages entertained from 11am to 3pm.
!! Fancy dress competition !!
There are heaps of cool prizes up for grabs – from pool passes to emergency service toys. Dress up as your favourite hero.

Local heroes
Some of our local heroes, like emergency services, Plunket, Bee Healthy, Ora Toa, surf lifesavers and Predator Free, will be around on the day for you to say hello to.

Entertainment
Local dance schools will display their skills.

Inflatables
So many inflatables. There will be an obstacle course, bouncy castles, inflatable sports arcade and the big blue slide.
FREE facepainting with Rainbow Circus
Preschool area
There will be a dedicated preschool area for little ones, which has Council kindy gym instructors, a baby bouncer, soft play area and bubble house.

Play activation & giant games
Porirua City play coordinator will be onsite to encourage play with giant games and activities.

Colouring station
There will be a colouring station available for tamariki.

Climate heroes
Climate heroes Nonstop Solutions will be showing off their waste minimisation tips and tricks.
