Mana Services Academy Completes Bushcraft Camp with NZ Army

Mana Services Academy bushcraft camp with the NZ Army.

The Mana Services Academy recently completed an intensive five-day bushcraft camp in collaboration with the New Zealand Army, where students learned vital survival skills essential for thriving in the wilderness.

Throughout the camp, academy students participated in a range of survival and bushcraft tasks, including navigation and map orientation, camping and tramping skills, erecting survival shelters, and interpreting weather patterns. These activities were designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical abilities to survive in challenging environments, mirroring the training soldiers undergo.

Despite facing continuous rain and cold temperatures, the students embraced the adversity, which contributed to an authentic bushcraft experience. This harsh weather tested and built the students’ resilience and character, essential traits for both wilderness survival and personal development.

This bushcraft camp highlights the academy’s commitment to providing real-world, practical experiences that prepare students for a variety of challenges, fostering a sense of self-reliance and confidence.

The Mana Services Academy continues to integrate such hands-on learning opportunities into its curriculum, ensuring that students not only excel academically but also develop essential life skills.
