PATAKA Art + Museum in Porirua is hosting an inspiring event, “Wāhine Paving the Way in Business,” on Tuesday, 4 June 2024, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This free event is part of a broader initiative throughout June to celebrate business in Porirua, featuring a series of events aimed at inspiring local entrepreneurs, sharing industry knowledge, and fostering connections within the community.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from two trailblazing wāhine: Tania Tupu and Rachel Taulelei. Tania Tupu, transitioning from a professional athlete to a successful business owner and director, along with Rachel Taulelei, CEO of KONO and former commissioner of NZ Trade and Enterprise, will share their remarkable journeys in the business world. The evening promises to be a source of motivation and insight, providing valuable perspectives on leadership and entrepreneurship.
The event will also include a Q&A session, offering attendees the chance to engage directly with the speakers and gain further insights into navigating the business landscape. Additionally, there will be opportunities to network with other local business owners and community members, enhancing connections and potential collaborations.
Although admission is free, spaces are limited, and registration is essential to secure attendance. This is a chance not only to listen to powerful stories of success but also to interact with peers and established leaders in a supportive and dynamic environment.
