Movember, it isn’t always pretty but the cause is superb.
If you see friends and family and strangers wandering around the streets of Kāpiti looking like extras from the Big Foot movie, don’t be alarmed, it will be over soon. Many Kāpiti businesses and individuals have joined in the fun to raise funds for men’s mental health in New Zealand.
One local business, Peter Jackson Plumbing, have embraced the challenge and are well on their way to raising $3000.
Sonya Jackson says the whole team is on board with Movember and the response has been really positive. “With just a couple more days of Movember left we are encouraging as many people as possible to support this cause.”
Sonya says a recent surge of support from the Gold Coast BNI chapter has boosted donations closer to the $3000 target.
“Master Plumbers as a whole who have grouped Plumbing Companies together (us included) have almost raised $17,000 towards Movember,” says Sonya.
