Coasters Musical Theatre has been entertaining audiences for over 40 years and following on from their smash hit with Mary Poppins comes another musical treat Fifty and Fabulous.
The show follows a group of five fabulous friends, who met in college and have kept up regular get-togethers, are just about to turn the dreaded 50 years old… and they are not looking forward to it!
The onset of a mass female mid-life crisis and the last-minute cancelation of a popular singing group for the local fundraiser, sees them hatch a plan to put on a dazzling musical spectacular to show their town they are not past it and that … 50 can be FABULOUS!
With a cast of 11 women and 2 lucky males, the show features a wonderful mix of foot tapping songs from days gone by, and some very tightly written comedy routines. It’s a show with lots of swingin’ Sixties songs, laughter, drama, music, nostalgia and some astonishing twists and surprises.
If you’re fifty or over you’ll love it, if you’re fifty or under you’ll discover a snapshot of the ‘good old days’. It’s a fun show for everyone.
The Show is directed by Joanne Sharp who has directed many shows including the very popular Menapause The Musical.
