The Bags are Back. Following on from the hugely successful fundraiser for Child Cancer at the Waikanae Spring Market, local businesses have got together to produce another run of the popular bags for the Waikanae Easter Market.
The reusable jute bags will be on sale as a fundraiser for Child Cancer with all proceeds going to the charity with all costs met by eight local sponsors.
Ross Vessey of Professionals says he was very pleased with the public response last time and is expecting another sell out of the bags.
“The bags are only $3 each or two for $5 and the total raised will be going to Child Cancer. When I approached the other sponsors they joined without hesitation,” says Mr Vessey.
“I have been involved with charity auctions and other fundraisers for Child Cancer and this seemed like a good opportunity to also involve some Waikanae businesses in such a good cause.”
The jute bags carry the message “Keep Waikanae Clean” and with supermarkets ditching plastic bags they will again be in demand.
Local Businesses supporting the Child Cancer fundraiser are: Professionals, LVT, Shaft Automotive, Steve Rose Electrical, Kāpiti Hearing, Best Practice Law, Kennedy & Associates Chartered Accountants, and Signcraft Kāpiti.
The Waikanae Easter Market will be held in Mahara Place from 9am, Easter Saturday 20 April.
