Understand the importance of strong community advocacy, I’m standing for Ōtaki’s Community Board, and would bring to the role my passion for the people and environment of Ōtaki.
Having lived here for 34 years, I operate my architecture business from Mill Road here in Ōtaki, just behind my wife Angela Ford’s Vet clinic.
Last year I received a Kāpiti District Council Civic Award for services to the community, for such organisations as Friends of the Ōtaki River, Katihiku Marae, Rahui Rugby club, Ōtaki Montessori, Waitohu School Board, Kāpiti Youth Support, and local aviation groups.
I’m a Trustee for Kāpiti Youth Support, which recently extended youth
health services into Ōtaki.
My interests include farming, restoring the walkways through the Ōtaki
Sanatorium to Hauratai Park, tramping, and aviation. I’m manager and
foundation shareholder of the Ōtaki Airstrip.
It would be a privilege to serve on the Ōtaki Community Board.
