I have been a visiting and staying in Paekākāariki for over twenty years, and finally moved here full time in 2012.
To me, the magic of the place is the genuine and strong sense of community, and the way in which Paekākāariki can and do involve themselves in the way the town grows and changes.
I am running because I want to be a part of this process.
We are facing issues regarding our roads, pedestrian safety, and safe
access to our schools and pre-schools for pedestrians and cyclists that need to be resolved.
We also need to be heard loud and clear in the process that decides the future of our sea wall.
I promise to accurately and clearly express the views of the community
regarding these and all other concerns.
