Bernie Randall – Profile

I want to be part of our district’s future. We must keep a tight control on the level of rates. This is essential for our older residents and young families who are struggling.
Within the limits of finance available we need to do what we can to enhance the quality of life we enjoy on this coast for all sections of the community but particularly our aging population. I support grants for youth events, the arts, environment and sports. I want to immediately address the traffic congestion on Kāpiti Road.
I will be watching closely the effect of the water meters on rates when they are switched on. My many years of local government experience will be of benefit to the Community Board.
My qualifications, Master of Laws Degree, qualified mediator and an executive course in Technology from Harvard University, will be valuable in helping residents liaise with Council.
