Cr Penny Gaylor and Sue Johnson were among the recent Kāpiti submitters to the Greater Wellington Regional Council’s annual plan hearings.
Kāpiti’s regional councillor Nigel Wilson said it was very encouraging to see such a strong contingent from Kāpiti at the hearings.
“There was plenty of input from Kāpiti individuals and organisations again this year. I was very impressed by the Grey Power submission presented by Betty van Gaalen which was the most comprehensive received. The Annual Plan is the best chance for a say on the policy direction, both specific and general, of Council.
“During the Annual Plan hearings we also heard from a large number of our environmental care groups, including Friends of the Ōtaki River, Friends of the Waikanae River, and Queen Elizabeth Park Trust,” said Cr Wilson
