Hilary Wooding: The Kāpiti Coast is a fantastic place to live!

Hilary Wooding

The Kāpiti Coast is a fantastic place to live! I came to Raumati Beach in 1990 when I became the District Libraries Manager, building the award winning Paraparaumu Library in 2002.
While a strong infrastructure water, roads, sewerage etc is vital, other amenities are important to create a vibrant community for our families.
I will work for:

  • arts and recreation and libraries
  • improved health facilities
  • increased business and tourism opportunities
  • a realistic approach to development
  • solutions to climate change challenges
  • good public transport networks
  • mitigating the effects of the disastrous Sandhills motorway if it cannot be halted is a priority

This ward encompasses three very different and unique communities Paekakriki, Raumati South and Raumati Beach – which must be preserved and enhanced.

As a third term councillor I will bring experience to this position which will assist the Paekākāariki and Raumati communities.

Hilary Wooding is also standing for the Paraparaumu/Raumati Community Board
