The comments from Mr Turver calling for taxpayer subsidies for the airport company are surprising; on the one hand he is telling us he is looking out for ratepayers, on the other he is lobbying for poor taxpayers to pay for Mr Robinson’s errors of judgement.
Ratepayers be warned; next Mr Turver may propose that the Council subsidise the airport company’s plans. We are already paying for them with reduced airport viability and safety, and soon with increased congestion on Kāpiti Road. Please save us from Mayoral candidates calling for our taxes and rates to support this big box development as well.
